Earlier this year, an interesting little thriller came out called, “Pontypool.” It’s centered around Grant Mazzy, a talk radio show host, and his co-workers broadcasting their daily program in the midst of a horrible blizzard. During the program, a series of odd events occur surrounding a local doctor’s office in the nearby town of PontyPool. These events later lead the group to discover a viral disease is spreading in their region. Interestingly enough, the disease is not spread by biological contamination, but by the comprehension of the English language.
Set mostly inside the radio station, the film has an ingenious way of capturing the audience while not overdoing the suspense. With its small cast, the thriller is an absolute must-see if for nothing else than the entertaining commentary by Stephen Mchattie (Grant Mazzy).

Gotta love Google for this!
