Last night, I peeped Redman’s performance at the Canal Room. Two words: Smashed it! The show was apart of the Scion series Live Metro Tour ’07. I stood 2hrs. in the freezin’ cold to witness the funk doctor at work. I did a little politickin’ with a few red enthusiasts while waiting outside. ( Big shout out to Jamel, Kendyl, and Miguel) It was at this point I realized the amount of hydroponic paraphenelia in the vacinity. The Canal Room was filled with nothing but weed smoke. ( More Fire!) For a weed connoisseur like myself (lol), it was absolute heaven.
Spittin’ alongside the Rhythm Roots All-Stars, Redman brought it back with jams like “Shake ya stankin’ ass” and “I’ll be dat.”

He even brought back the homie, Keith Murray, to kick a few flows ( “Crazy is as crazy does…” ). They did a little number that sounded vaguely familiar.

“I said a hip hop the hippie
the hippie to the hip hip a hop and ya don’t stop
A rock on baby bubba to the boogety bang
bang the boogie to the boogety beat….”
I am also happy to announce that Def Squad will be releasing another album in the month of March.
