Bet Hip Hop Awards

I vowed to myself that I would not watch BET for more than 5 minutes for fear that my mind be corrupted with its  “grade A” coonery. Anything, other than that is just a remote control accident. Yet, as I was reading my fav blogs Nah Right & Crunk & Disorderly I was reminded that the aforementioned channel had its Hip-hop award show taping this past weekend. 

As I graced my eyes among all the banal monstracities that attended….

… Do I really have to say anything?

…I couldn’t help but to shake my head with great embarassment.

When I thought all was lost, that’s when I saw

Evan Almighty…

Picking up where Jim Carrey left off in 2003 with Bruce Almighty, Steve Carell will star as Evan Baxter in Evan Almighty. The ever ambitious news anchor is asked by God (Morgan Freeman) to create an ark such like Noah. (as a matter fact, exactly like Noah.)

I strongly believe that this could very well be one of funniest movies to hit theaters next year. Watching Steve Carell for as long as I have, I’m so glad to see him on the screen more and more. That’s not to say his roles as a supporting actor weren’t as entertaining….(“I love lamp.” – as Brick Tamland in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) ….but his humor is unlike any other.
